Hunting

The lack of development and the variety and abundance of game in the Flowage makes it a step above what you’ll find in most other parts of the state. From the spring turkey season all the way through the fall grouse and duck seasons, the Flowage offers excellent bird hunting throughout the year, including old logging trails with good cover. Deer, of course, are abundant and if you’re lucky enough to secure a black bear permit, the Flowage should be at the top of your destination list.
